meetings2The successful series of Day Break courses run by the Higher Education Academy Maths, Stats & OR Network will continue into a sixth year. In 2009 we will be offering courses tailored to the interests and needs of participants or specialised groups and these will concentrate the innovative use of statistics software in teaching.

The course topics under consideration are:

  • Computational Statistics
  • Data Mining
  • Environmental Sampling
  • Meta-analysis
  • Multilevel Models
  • Questionnaire Design
  • Statistical Process Control
  • Toxicology
  • Wildlife Population Studies

Course Details

Venues can be chosen to suit participants needs – at least one course in London with others in the Midlands, North West or North East.

Courses will be run by a topic expert. Each course will typically last a day from 10.00am to 4.00pm with four sessions and ample opportunity for discussion.

A minimum of 10 participants are required for a course to take place.

Cost are likely to be from £70 to £120
