The Business and Economic Statistics Section (B&E) of the American Statistical Association (ASA) will offer up to two travel awards (amount to be determined, but roughly $500) for students in doctoral programs in business, economics, econometrics, statistics, or allied disciplines.
Support is offered for students to attend the Joint Statistical Meetings, to be held in Washington, DC, August 1-6, 2009; and applicants should be either presenting a paper or participating in a poster session.
Applications must include an endorsement and a letter of support from a faculty advisor or a member of the B&E Section of the ASA. Winners are expected to attend JSM sessions.
